Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about men's health physiotherapy at ALO.

We treat a wide range of conditions including chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS), prostatitis, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, bowel dysfunction, hard flaccid syndrome, and pre and post prostatectomy support.

Your first session is a comprehensive assessment where we'll discuss your symptoms, medical history, and goals in a private, comfortable setting. We'll then perform a physical assessment and develop a tailored treatment plan. Everything is handled with complete confidentiality.

This varies depending on your condition and its severity. During your initial assessment, we'll give you an honest estimate. Many patients notice improvements within the first few sessions, with a typical course ranging from 6–12 sessions.

ALO Physiotherapy is currently recognised by BUPA International and Cigna International — if you hold either of these policies, your treatment may be covered. We're actively working to expand our insurer network, with more providers on the way. We recommend checking your policy details before your appointment, and we're happy to provide any documentation needed to support your claim.

Yes, we work closely with some of London's leading urologists and consultants, to ensure you receive comprehensive, well-coordinated care.

No referral is needed — you can contact us directly and we'll arrange your initial assessment straight away. That said, if you haven't yet spoken to your GP about your symptoms, we'd encourage you to do so. We focus on physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation; your doctor can help rule out any underlying medical conditions that are important to address alongside your treatment. Working in partnership with your wider healthcare team always leads to the best outcomes for you.

We're located at Harmont House, 20 Harley Street, London W1G 9PH — a five-minute walk from both Oxford Circus and Bond Street Underground stations.
